Neighbors turn gravel road into garden
Eugene's Friendly neighborhood in South Eugene is turning a gravel street into a garden at 22nd and Van Buren.
Garden organizers said there are 1,600 pounds off food growing in 20 different produce beds.
"We're building, you know, community cohesion and people have a connection, a space that they can call their own," said Doug Black, who co-founded the community garden. "They can see that they have the ability to grow a healthy nutritious lifestyle."
There's also a new tool-shed made completely of recycled material.
