Got a Big Bang theory?

Callers to the KVAL News tipline at 5 a.m. Tuesday reported loud explosions in the Glenwood area, south of Springfield and northeast of South Eugene.

Hello, police ...

Springfield police said they had received reports of explosions in the Glenwood area. They suspected electrical transformer problems and had officers looking.

There weren't any report of power outages, however.

Heavy equipment at work?

The Oregon Department of Transportation said work on the Interstate 5 bridge over the Willamette River wouldn't have made loud explosion-like sounds this morning.

Hmm. KVAL News will keep asking around.
